You will have the opportunity to discuss details in the interview.About the Role:Sr. Production Supervisor will coordinate all production readiness activities associated to a Product Transfer, the current Cartago site expansion and the startup of the new Cartago site. This leader will be directly responsible for the direct labor staff involved in the transfer project and, after that, in base business at Cartago site. Intent is that during the first 6 to 9 months this leader will travel abroad periodically for knowledge transfer purposes, having the experience to work in the manufacturing environment prior to the operation startup in Costa Rica.This role is expected to demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to the core team. Strong operational excellence focus, leading and driving the organization to achieve operational targets through continuous improvement.Your Responsibilities Include:
- Support transfer of processes, equipment, and products.
- Support training processes for front line employees.
- Support employee-safety oriented initiatives.
- Directly responsible for the production and quality of the product, as well as line personnel.
- Champions product quality and employees´ safety as the top priorities.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
- Lead the core team to create a teamwork environment and achieve operational targets.
- Excellent communication with all levels.
- Oversee operations efficiency and standardization.
- Coordinate production scheduling.
- Analyze and evaluate process improvements in order to reduce defects.
- Participate and/or lead problem solving processes, whether due to increasing trends on complaints, defects, scrap, or low productivity, among others.
- Provide feedback to PB IV and front-line workers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licentiate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or field related.
- English Level desired: 85-100%
- Desired knowledge: Problem solving, Lean tools, APICs certification desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
