Sibú Digital is looking for a Senior Performance Tester to join our growing international team, and be a key contributor in ensuring the software products’ reliability, stability, and performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and executing performance tests to ensure our applications meet high standards for speed, scalability, and reliability.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
A successful candidate should stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software performance metrics, leveraging this knowledge to enhance our existing testing frameworks and contribute to continuously improving our Performance Testing Lifecycle processes.
Our current project entails the development of cloud-based ERP business management software catering to small and medium-sized businesses.
With dedicated divisions catering to manufacturing, wholesale/retail distribution, building and construction, and field service, the chosen candidates will be responsible for crafting solutions seamlessly integrated into all facets of our client’s operations.
These solutions aim to level the playing field, streamline day-to-day activities, and provide our clients the freedom to prioritize their core business objectives.
All candidates must be able to work within the US time zone (CST or EST).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES – Design and implement comprehensive performance test plans to evaluate the speed, reliability, and resource usage of software applications.
– Execute load, stress, and scalability tests to identify performance bottlenecks and issues.
– Analyze test results, provide actionable recommendations, and collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize application performance.
– Stay updated on industry trends and emerging performance testing tools and techniques.
– Develop data-driven test scripts and leverage test automation to improve efficiency.
– Collaborate with the test automation team to leverage the reusability of existing scripts.
– Create knowledge management deliverables such as process documentation and procedures – Plan and implement various types of testing, including manual, regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, and performance tests.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish a common language and shared understanding of the software’s expected behavior.
– Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects and provide timely solutions to customer issues.
– Attend daily stand-ups and Scrum ceremonies, providing updates on testing progress and any issues encountered.
– Communicate test results, issues, and risks to project team members, managers, and QA management through various channels.
– Should be able to understand functional & non-functional, new or ongoing project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS ACADEMIC BACKGROUND – BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience as a Software QA Tester REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Proven experience in performance testing and tuning, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
– Proven expertise in performance testing and optimizing Windows Forms applications, including proficiency with profiling tools and the .NET Framework.
– Proven expertise and hands-on experience with Appium for mobile application performance testing on Android and iOS platforms, including script automation and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
– Have a background in developing QA processes for ERP software, eCommerce, inventory systems, logistics, payroll, or other modules or features within an ERP.
– Proficiency in using performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, and BlazeMeter.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve performance issues.
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Understanding of system architecture, including components, interfaces, and data flows.
– Familiarity with performance engineering concepts, such as performance requirements, modeling, and optimization.
– Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, preferable C# (e.g., Java, Python) – Experience in test automation and creating automated unit, build, and regression test suites.
– Strong understanding of test design, planning, execution, defect reporting, and tracking.
– Experience in both automated and manual web applications and web service API testing.
– Advanced knowledge of test automation frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, Mocha, or Playwright.
– Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile.
– Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and address complex technical issues.
– Familiarity with QA Automation Frameworks with demonstrable knowledge.
– Experience with automation testing tools, particularly Appium and WinForms, is required due to the nature of our Windows Forms application.
– Good understanding of automated testing metrics and methodologies (code coverage, unit testing, integration testing, etc.).
– Proficiency in C# is required, as all automation tasks will be developed using this language.
– Familiarity with Scenario Based Testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE – Desirable knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Box, Jira, and Confluence.
CERTIFICATIONS / SPECIALITIES / COURSEWORK – Certifications from leading Quality Assurance / Agile Process bodies (e.g., ASTQB, ISTQB, Certified SCRUM, SAFe Certifications, ISTQB Certified Tester – Performance Testing (CT-PT)).
