If this interests you, we encourage you to apply and help shape the future of Finance in service of patient-centric innovation.Senior Financial Analyst supporting Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies Business Unit. Providing guidance using solid application of sound financial business practices for business unit decision making, as well as supporting FP&A functions such as but not limited to: Month-End-Close, Planning, Compliance, etc.You will make an impact by:

  • Planning – Advise Cost Center managers to generate complex solutions to obtaining necessary resources within budgetary constraints, including identifying opportunities and mitigating risks (e.g., cost center planning, revenue planning, reporting)
  • Business Reporting and Analysis – Assess complex report data (e.g., month-end matrix report, quarter-end year-over-year sequence reporting, headcount reporting, trend analysis, planned and forecast variance analysis) to identify opportunities for course correction/course alignment, including writing justification for variances
  • Month-End Close – Manage cost center finances including journal entries, review financial measures, provide guidance and advice regarding cost center performance, and develop BU specific reports (e.g., commission support, customer rebates)
  • Special Projects – Varying duties by business unit, e.g., developing trend analysis and mix analysis on gross profit, sales operations, clinical contract management
  • Compliance – Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors
  • Other incidental duties

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in locally recognized degree/certification in Accounting or Finance,
  • 5 years of experience of previous related experience Required

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and related financial systems (JDE)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to financial planning and month-end processes
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Solid understanding of multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement
  • Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles
  • Expertise in own functional area and ability to coach others in various functional areas impacted within the business
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally and independently with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the department on projects
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
  • Travel (day and overnight by car, air, train, etc.) will vary. Percentage of time is determined by Management
