Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Records to Report Assistant Manager in Heredia.The Records to Report Assistant Manager leads the FA team ensuring timely closing of each period end in SAP in accordance with IFRS and /or US GAAP requirements for the FA subledger. With a thorough understanding of core controllership (Record to Report) processes, the R2R FA Finance Associate is responsible for the identification of areas for continuous improvement to drive productivity and strengthen the control environment across the function. The role will combine good accounting knowledge with communication skills and managerial capabilities.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily Management of the Fixed Asset subledger.
- Lead the FA team through the month end, quarter end and year end process meeting all deadlines.
- Review established workflow and identify areas for improvement and escalate.
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports as per agreed timeline to allow end markets review and analysis.
- Oversee fixed asset accounts reconciliations within the function and ensure accuracy.
- Develop, suggest, and implement new procedures to ensure efficiency and effective operation of processes.
- Ensure accuracy and timely execution of SOX controls.
- Communicate with stakeholders by solving issues, providing guidance, and promoting a customer-oriented culture.
What are we looking for?
- University degree (Accounting, Economic of Finance).
- Bilingual (Spanish and English level 90%+)
- 4+ years’ experience in a multinational company.
- Strong accounting knowledge, ability to prepare Statutory, Management and IFRS or US GAAP.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to work with various levels of employees and leaders (up to and including executives).
- Must have proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
