Job Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to support the full lifecycle of the custom electro-mechanical test systems to support production testing of Nevro products. This includes developing the test requirements, design/development, and IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
  • Performs under assistance of experienced engineers, test coverage analysis/strategy (DFT) on new designs from PCBA testing to Final Product Acceptance Testing.
  • Perform under assistance of experienced engineers regression testing on modified electro-mechanical test systems.
  • Assist in circuit/electrical troubleshooting on production failures and drives efforts to improve the first pass yield.
  • Interacts with other engineering groups and clients to document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
  • Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.
  • May participate on the coordination with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts.
  • Execute under assistance of experienced engineers, training activities for other team members, cross functional teams and supporting areas.
  • Run under assistance of experienced engineers ad hoc testing on test systems and report any issues in a timely manner to help improve the electro-mechanical test systems.

Ing Civil Por Servicios Profesionales
  • BS. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Electromechanical Engineering / Mechatronic, or equivalent experience.
  • A RCG or up to 2 years of experience in automated electro-mechanical test system deployment, sustaining and development, preferably using National Instruments LabVIEW and Test Stand is desired.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills; Proficiency in Electronic hardware, including data acquisition, oscilloscope, etc. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Understanding of good software development and testing practices.
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and adaptable.
  • Recent hands-on development experience with PXI test equipment using NI LabView, TestStand is a plus.
  • Development experience using Microsoft .NET C# is a plus.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries and generating database reports is a plus.
  • Experience in the verification and validation of software and software systems in compliance with FDA regulations, in medical devices or healthcare, is preferred.
