Descripción de funciones: Nextern collaborates with innovators, clinicians, and companies to create, iterate, optimize, and manufacture best-in-class medical devices and software applications. Nextern’s Product Development Department is seeking a motivated intern looking for experience in the regulated medical device industry. Full-time internships offer hands-on learning experiences within the company’s medical device development business. Beyond technical contributions, the intern will be able to build on skill sets such as teamwork, leadership, and quality commitment. The internship will be for a period of up to 12 months, during this time the student must be active in the university.This position will have ample opportunity to explore and gain real-word experience in any of the following areas:

• Project Management
• Manufacturing Transfers
• Process development
• Process Characterization
• Development of Manufacturing Procedures, BOMs
• Quality Management System (QMS) Documentation
• Process Validation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project Management
• PM projects with other departments to ensure successful project execution
• Process Characterization
• Evaluate variables of a manufacturing process in order to set process windows
• Manufacturing Procedures
• Develop new manufacturing procedures, or improve existing procedures that are needed for a given project.
• QMS Documentation

• Become familiar with deliverables needed to follow an ISO 13485 compliant quality management system
• Author or co-author deliverables.
• Design of Experiments
• Evaluate and isolate variables of a process in order to understand the impact of each variable
• Develops professional skills in a dynamic environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• At least 70% of studies completed and currently enrolled in the university.
• English Level desired: 80%.
• Desirable knowledge in: Microsoft Office Basic, AutoCad, project, solidworks (desirable).
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering

• Excellent learning agility.
• Must be self-motivated with ability to handle, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships, communicate, and interact with a variety of personalities.
