This position is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of Digital Treatment Planning Designers in DPS, performing Digital Orthodontic Treatments.
This position is based in Heredia, reports directly to DPS Operations Head.Job Responsibilities
- Set goal & objective for DTP Designers, routinely review performance (quality, productivity, lead-time, cost, etc.) of the team, provide performance feedback to team members and suggest remediation when performance issues arise.
- Responsible for the daily activities, working schedule and performance of team. Report daily production operation of the team and identify opportunities for improvement to achieve the objectives of production and quality.
- Coordinate holidays, leaves, training, participation in events, pilots, etc. as well as coordination of overtime of DTP Designers and support team, balancing the teams in different operations as needed.
- Be responsible for continuous improvement of quality and performance of the team. Recognize improvement opportunities and foster the right environment for continuous improvement culture.
- Consistent achieve production and quality metrics for the facility and set new benchmark year on year.
- Leadership by example and motivation of the staff, maintenance of individual and group discipline and teamwork fostering a positive working environment.
- Train, coach, and mentor DTP Designers to learn and improve their capability to perform all required duties. First line of contact for resolving questions and problems of DTP Designers and escalate them as needed.
- Maintain process, technology, and systems expertise to ensure proficiency and ability to coach and train others.
- Recruit, select, develop and motivate designers to achieve campany’s goals.
- Follow all established company policies and procedures including health and safety.
- Apply and enforce established guidelines and working procedures of the corresponding operation.
- Coordinate and support with rest of supervisory team overall site performance, improvements, and short-term capacity balancing.
- Follow DPS working instruction, clinical protocol, quality instructions and other guidelines.
- Support DPS or company projects and improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above. Dental Technician diploma would be a plus.
- 1-2 years of leader experience in industry leading company.
- Must be aware of DPS process. Having ability to learn CAD/CAM software applications efficiently, demonstrate high potential to learn, adapt and manage the company tools to track and improve own performance as well as the team performance under responsibility.
- Require the ability for effectively communicate in both oral and written form with all levels of the organization.
- Results and team oriented: able to work under pressure to achieve goals. Agility to solve problems and to create innovative solutions.
- Show business understanding of metrics, KPI´s, systems, processes. Show learning agility to improve own development and others technical skills
- Analytic skill. Able to prepare reports and KPI´s tracking. Good understanding of project management tools would be a plus.
- Develop Others, show interest in own and others development to improve performance.
- Able to present and speak in front of large group.
- Must be able to multitask and able to handle stressful situations in a performance oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of basic computer operations and Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
