Hourly Rate: $35.00 US Dollars Per Hour
Work Hours: Must Work London, England based business hoursJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer with extensive expertise in creating PowerShell scripts for Microsoft products such as Intune, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Microsoft Defender. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PowerShell modules, their purposes, and how they enhance automation within Microsoft environments. Additionally, experience in automating Microsoft workflows and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) within Microsoft Active Directory and Entra is essential.Key Responsibilities:PowerShell Scripting and Automation:

Assistant Professor - Applied Data Science
  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and workflows across Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Utilize PowerShell modules effectively to streamline and enhance scripting capabilities.
  • Explain and document the use of PowerShell modules and scripts for knowledge sharing within the team.

Microsoft Workflow Automation:

  • Design and implement automated workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions across various platforms.

GPO Management and Active Directory:

  • Create, edit, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) within Microsoft Active Directory and Entra to enforce company policies and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GPOs and directory services.

System Administration and Support:

  • Monitor and maintain the health of Microsoft systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on Microsoft products and automation tools.

Continuous Improvement and Learning:

  • Stay updated on the latest Microsoft technologies, best practices in automation, and security trends.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skill sets and knowledge base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Microsoft systems engineering role.
  • Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Microsoft environments.
  • Deep understanding of PowerShell modules, their usage, and benefits.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Strong experience in automating Microsoft workflows.
  • Proficient in creating and editing GPOs within Microsoft Active Directory and Entra.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory architecture and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBScript).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

  • Mastery of PowerShell scripting and module management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Proficiency in automating workflows and processes within Microsoft environments.
