**Our Team**

Catalina seeks a Manager of Data Operations and Quality to join our dynamic cross-functional team.

This role is responsible for managing the Data Operations and Quality team responsible for collaborating with our internal business partners and 3rd Parties to manage the onboarding and integration of client and 3rd party data to ensure a seamless high-quality experience. Additional key functions of this team include working with IT, Analytics, and Product teams to enhance short

– and long-term operational processes supporting data quality (availability, completeness, and accuracy).

**Responsibilities**

– Manage a team of Data Operations & Quality professionals responsible for integrating and onboarding client and third-party data and ongoing maintenance to ensure a high level of data quality

– Develop comprehensive performance and training plans to mature and enhance the team’s performance and technical competencies (SQL, Python, BI Visualizations, and ETL Processes)

– Develop new hire onboarding program and training materials for new employees

– Partner with People & Culture to evaluate employee career progression needs and create action plans for growth and development through active engagement, functional job mapping, and mentorship

– Evaluate the data operations team/individual velocity to effectively manage workload and staffing requirements ensuring critical and shifting priorities are supported

– Develop data operations maturity assessment plan to understand the current state of onboarding and monitoring of third-party and client data

– Build strong partnerships and increase collaboration with key internal stakeholders to align on priorities and drive data quality effectiveness enterprise-wide

– Develop improvement plans for each data source, along with a comprehensive priority list, timeline, and recommendation for needed tools/skills/resources

– Manage and execute improvement plans to enhance data monitoring, maximize data usage, and optimize data quality

– Influence backlog priority for data quality stories in an Agile SCRUM environment

– Develop and oversee processes to Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate data quality issues through established channels while managing client expectations

– Maintain detailed documentation, including project documents, workflows, processes, data dictionary, and technical specifications

– Manage the most complex and strategic data integrations by defining requirements, onboarding data, managing SLAs, logging data, and performing quality checks to maximize client experience

– Conduct detailed and complex troubleshooting to scope out and timely resolve issues with urgent and significant revenue/cost implications

– Evaluate the current architecture, including data transformation and ETL practices, and collaborate with internal business partners to develop and execute short

– and long-term data quality solutions.

– Support Data Governance efforts such as documenting metadata and implementing Data Policies

– Create and develop data quality performance reports and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders

**Qualifications**

– Bachelor’s degree in technology, analytical, quantitative discipline, or a related field

– 4+ years of experience in Data Operations, Data Quality, Data Governance, or Technology

– 3+ years of experience with leading people

– Experience with third-party relationship management preferred, (Clients, Vendors, Partners)

– Working knowledge/desire to learn data management platforms (DMPs) and related technologies, including ETL processes, Databricks, Azure, Snowflake, etc.

– Experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL or other query languages

– Strong project management and process improvement skills (PMP and Six Sigma certification preferred)

– Ability to investigate, analyze, and solve complex data quality problems

– Understand the agile software development lifecycle

– Experience with design and analytical tools (Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, and MicroStrategy)

– Excellent organizational skills, diligence, and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks with quality

– Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
