We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Learning Consultant with facilitation skills and experience. Ideal candidates have been consistent top contributors in previous roles, including sales, enablement, and/or consulting.
Role Summary: The Learning Consultant serves as the representative of IBM Skills and Learning within the Talent organization, working across Business Units (BUs) and Geographies (Geos). This role involves managing client engagement and integrating skills and learning initiatives to support geo-specific business unit priorities. The Americas Learning Consultant will be instrumental in delivering learning experiences that build skills, particularly critical sales skills, that prepare IBM sellers to deliver differentiated client experiences and win in the marketplace. Key sales learning experiences include Welcome to IBM Sales and Global Sales School for new sellers, along with other learning offerings for more experienced sellers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning Program Delivery: Enable program delivery through world-class virtual and f2f facilitation. Sales offerings will be the initial and primary focus.
2. Collaboration: Regularly engage with HR, Talent, and Enablement to enhance IBMer skills and development opportunities.
3. Advanced Technologies: Utilize advanced performance technologies and training methodologies to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
4. Global Business Unit (BU) Partner: Build and manage strong relationships with Geo BU leaders and stakeholders. Use business acumen to understand key requirements for success. Leverage the skills and learning ecosystem to ensure BU success. Consult, advise, plan, roll out and measure outcomes.
5. Influence and Advocacy: Utilize data and key performance indicators to promote optimal skills and learning solutions. Drive interest in IBM skills and learning solutions during client interactions and meetings to generate demand for skills and learning solutions that support business success.
6. Curation & Development of learning content: As necessary, participate in various aspects of the analysis and design of learning solutions, in partnership with the client and other learning design professionals.Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1.Skills and Learning: Foundational understanding and experience with concepts. Strong enthusiasm for developing people, while continuously building their own skills to role model personal growth.
2.Facilitation Experience: Passion for and some experience in facilitation and/or presentation effectiveness.
3.Project Management: Some experience in managing projects and programs, including measurements and reporting.
4.Consulting Skills: Ability to apply analytical and innovative thinking to develop and deliver high-quality solutions. Business acumen and high Emotional Quotient to build relationships and work effectively at different levels to influence and manage stakeholder relations.
5.Communication Skills: Excellent English oral and written communication skills.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Sales Experience preferred: Sales, sales leadership, or sales enablement experience is preferred, with a foundational understanding of IBM Client Engagement Method and sales skills needed to succeed.
