Descripción de funciones: The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced Inventory Control Lead Associate, under broad supervision will be responsible for providing lead support for associates Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced and maintaining proper inventory levels throughout the production cycle of the organization’s product. Pull or replenish inventory to satisfy organizational needs. Ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand. Mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others.What we’re looking forHigh school completion or equivalent (GED); Associate’s degree preferred3+ years experience in inventory control, customer service, logistics, materials management or purchasing, preferredExperience and a basic understanding of ERP systems (SAP) preferredBilingual (Spanish and English) conversational and written.Highly detail-orientedStrong organizational skillsExcellent communication skillsProven problem-solving skillsProficiency in computer systems (Microsoft Office, Inventory Systems, SAP)Ability to coordinate and manage multiple processes using multiple information systems.High logical sense and mathematical knowledgeAbility to read and interpret complex reportsAbility to work closely with other departments; negotiate with suppliers and customers; and effectively manage a multitasking environment.The associate must maintain good relationships and effective communication with customers, suppliers, and administrative personnel.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time, problem solve, and work as part of a team are crucialStrong interpersonal skillsHow you will thrive and create an impactData enter and correct inventory codes on the ERP system.In conjunction with the Cycle Counting team, generate and follow up requests for stock verification.Monitor inventory adjustments to ensure correctness of large value adjustments and appropriate sign offs are obtained.Attend inventory-related and Operations Accounting team meetings.Review, prepare, and audit metrics for Closing Order Clerks.Assist in identifying procedural adherence and inventory control deficiencies.Work with the scheduling team to identify root causes of inventory-related missed shipments.Complete required records and reports for Quality Control Laboratory, including expired inventory and inventory within three months of reassay date; update expiration or reassay dates on computer.Prepare waste disposal sheets and distribute to Compliance and Warehouse.Create, generate, and distribute monthly reports and reserves, such as the quarantine reserve, aging staged inventory reserve, and the material issue adjustment report.Evaluate and analyze cycle count discrepancies.Monitor inventories at remote/consignment warehouses to ensure accurate availability information is reflected in ERP system.Work with warehouse staff to ensure product transfers as needed systemically and reconcile inventories at outside locations at least monthly.Conduct training on the 4th Shift Inventory Module.Participate in and lead special projects related to inventory control as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedents are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis.Minimal physical effort is required.
