Sendero Kitchen is the on-site restaurant for Sendero Hotel, Nosara’s newest luxury boutique hotel. Joining our team provides an incredible opportunity for growth, new experiences and the chance to cook in one of the town’s finest restaurants.**Job Details**- Position Type: Chef at Sendero Kitchen- Employment Type: Full-time, 6 days per week- Location: Sendero Kitchen, Nosara, Costa Rica- Work Schedule: Subject to specific operational needs and requirements of the position- Lead the execution of culinary preparations in the kitchen, ensuring excellent quality and accountability for all dishes served.- Culinary preparations in the kitchen, for which you will be accountable.- Direct and oversee all areas of kitchen operations, from recipe creation to execution, ensuring seamless workflow and exceptional dining experiences, and other tasks, like control quality and freshness of products, etc.- Manage inventory and orders, maintaining optimal stock levels to support smooth kitchen operations.- Uphold diligent cleanliness standards in your workstation and throughout the kitchen environment.- Provide leadership and direction to subordinate kitchen staff, ensuring precise control and direction of food preparation processes.- Maintain a commitment to excellence, consistently delivering top-tier culinary experiences.- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to optimize resource allocation and budget management.- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, inspiring and motivating kitchen personnel to excel in their roles.- Offer guidance and support to kitchen staff, cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.- Delegate tasks effectively, fostering efficient workflow and promoting teamwork among kitchen staff.- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and performance of kitchen team members, nurturing continuous growth and development.- Foster open communication and collaboration among kitchen staff, fostering a culture of shared goals and objectives.- Lead by example, embodying professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to culinary excellence in all aspects of kitchen operations.**Requirements**:- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in boutique hotels.- Willingness to reside in Nosara, Guanacaste.- Access to personal transportation.- Fluent in English.- Provide 3 recent professional references.**Salary & Benefits**- Competitive salary with housing allowance.- Year end performance bonus.- Private general medical consultation with included supplies.- Paid vacations and sick leave.
