Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities & EHS Manager in Heredia, CR.The Facilities & ESG program manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all facilities-related projects, as well as the development and implementation of ESG initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.This role will work with Project leaders to build an engaging employment culture and a continuous employee feedback approach. This builds creates a 360-environment aiming inside the GBS the best place to work and projecting a physical place where external talent wants to join. Effectively delivering the desired business outcomes. This critical role will focus on alignment, feedback, and engagement across GBS.Your key responsibilities will include:

Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine - Good Samaritan Hospital
  • Plan, manage, and execute all facilities-related projects, from conception to completion.
  • Manage, compile, present project reports to site leadership team and monitor project execution, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage Workplace Health & Safety, coordinate implementation of facilities management services and processes to ensure most suitable working environment is attained for employees and their activities and ensure general upkeep and maintenance of buildings so that they meet ESG company’s strategic goals, safety standards legal requirements while managing the budgets and keeping records of all payments.
  • Site Services: support by coordinating and owning tasks related physical assets (including management of free trade zone government guidelines), procurement & sourcing of local services (including vendor management, invoicing, purchase order, contracts performance) and other services required for the site operation
  • Real Estate: owns tasks related to lease management, space management, occupancy planning, specific projects, and government permits. Continuous improvement of site operation and identification of potential future initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of the office building (cleaning, repairs, equipment), monitoring and up-date of contracts for utilities (water, electricity, gas, etc.) and ensure efficient consumption of the same, keep good contact and relation with the local authorities.
  • Develop EH&S project goals, objectives, initiatives, and strategies, KPI dashboarding and monitoring
  • Coordinate and monitor all the supplies ordering / consumption, including furniture, to ensure that the procedure is followed, and expenses are made within the agreed costs.
  • Oversee the selection of contract service, vendor negotiation of service agreements and monitor performance by crafting SLAs. Build and manage business partnerships with vendors. Oversee and manage facility operations through 3rd party vendor relationships. Ensure contracted facility services are carried out in a consistent within BAT’s policies and guidelines.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Real Estate Facilities Management and workplace projects, in large and complex international organizations.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Free Trade Zone regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with senior management and leadership responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, handling several issues at the same time.
  • Advanced English level
  • ESG certifications (ISO 14001) Desirable
