We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts. As part of the management team, you will lead the team to increase the efficiency, utilization and quality of Lutron manufacturing processes as well as to improve its customer delivery in Electronics assembly, and automation environment. A successful Engineering Manager will use cross-functional leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills to improve quality, delivery, cost, productivity of existing products and processes, ensure on-time delivery of new products. Also, execute Value Engineering processes and strengthen participation in engineering managers community with corporate engineering Headquarters in PA, USA. Responsibilities As a uniquely qualified candidate, your main responsibilities will be to manage following functions under plant engineering: New Product / Line Launch Introduction (NPI): Leads receiving of New Product Introductions and New line introductions to be on time, on budget, and meeting quality and efficiency goals. Manage Product Time Standards, material cost calculations Global Process Improvements (GPI): Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout by applying Lean, SixSigma and other methodologies Ensures adherence to Lutron Production Systems and enhances as necessary. The Lutron production system as the collection of corporate standard best practices for operating and improving on the production floor Process Engineering function SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and FSS (Fountain Selective Solder), Wave Solder: Process development for Printed Circuit Boards Assemblies (PCBAs) to apply surface mount and throught-hole components Manage equipment and process reliability, efficiency and quality Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service Engineering Support Functions: Manages Manufacturing Systems Software required for production execution such as MES, PackScan, Label database and others Manages Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) working with Corporate engineering functions along with engineering MEMOs Manages process non-conformances through quality tools such as 8Ds, Ishikawa, and other appropriate tools Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus. At least 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering in electronics and/or mechanical assembly industry. 3+ years of experience and knowledge in Process improvements such as Lean, or SixSigma methodology Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Fountain Selective Solder (FSS), Wave is a plus Working knowledge of excel and other software tools for data analysis. Experience in medium mix high volume manufacturing environments, electronic/mechanical industry preferred. Required Skills: Strong technical and people leadership. Results oriented and self-driven. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethics. Complete fluency in English and Spanish in verbal, reading and writing. Sound judgment and decision making, problem solving, flexibility, assertiveness, resilience, and strong quality orientation Hands-on professional. Ability to influence, excellent follow through and organization skills.
