Descripción de funciones: Job Description • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, as well as hands-on experience with SQL Server databases.• Understanding the foundational processes involved in strategic design, construction, and deployment ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently under the guidance of team members.• Assist with the steady delivery of Microsoft SQL infrastructure solutions, supporting projects and system availability.• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances.• Ensure database performance, availability, and security.• Perform database backups and recovery operations.• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements.• Tune database queries for optimal performance.• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.• Monitor system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.• Work closely with key stakeholders and internal business units.• Play a key role in ensuring that Microsoft SQL systems are not only efficient and timely but also reflect our commitment to unwavering quality and service.Requirements • Experience as a DBA, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server.• Proficient in SQL and PowerShell scripting.• Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL Server replication.• Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., SQL Server Reporting Services) and ETL frameworks (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services).• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.• Experience with advanced SQL Server features such as Always On, replication, log shipping, and clustering.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.• Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Skills, Specialized Knowledge (Desired): • Certification as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is highly desirable.• Experience with performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.• Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure SQL Database).Education: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: • At least 5 Years of experience in Database Management.
