Job summary
The Screening Services team is an exciting nexus within Amazon that works across all Amazon business units to deliver screening services that protect Amazon’s customers, employees and assets. Amazon is the fastest growing large employer in the world, and we need to deliver screening services at the fastest rate, with the highest quality, and with the maximum flexibility – a unique business problem that no other company in the world is facing. To help get there, our team is seeking a Business Analyst to drive the analysis of complex data sets and intricacies of our systems and processes spanning the Drug Testing programs.

As a member of Amazon’s Screening Services team, the Business Analyst will report directly to the Program Manager based in Seattle, and analyze, formulate and present data, which allows for the execution of compliant, accurate, fast, and cost-efficient screening programs.
Key job responsibilities
– Development of data collection processes, data management system and maintenance of data integrity
– Query data using SQL to design, optimize and deliver high-quality dashboard and reports, on Quicksight, Tableau or MS Excel
– Build interactive visualizations to help provide stakeholders transform data into meaningful insights
– In-depth research of defect trends, deep dive into root cause analysis and provide data driven solution to remedy defects
– Manage the business metrics reporting process
– Drive process efficiency and automation
– Collaborate with Program Managers and Service delivery team across locations for requirement gathering, prioritization, driving standardization and delivery of dashboards
About the team
– 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, business intelligence or advanced reporting role
– Proven experience in developing requirements, formulating business metrics, and building dashboards on data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau or QuickSight
– Demonstrated ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
– Superior verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organization
– Knowledge of Python or R is desirable
