Descripción de funciones: **Job Title**: Cloud (AWS) System Engineer**Location**: Costa RicaAs an AWS Cloud and Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our AWS cloud infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud and systems engineering principles, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across Linux and Windows environments. Your expertise in scripting will be essential for automating processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring reliability.**Responsibilities**:– Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud-based infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
– Perform systems administration tasks across Linux and Windows platforms, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
– Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations and reduce manual efforts, using languages such as Terraform, Ansible/Chef, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
– Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into the development and deployment processes.
– Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud and system infrastructure to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential threats.
– Monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
– Stay updated with the latest AWS features and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to our cloud architecture.
– Participate in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing to ensure business continuity.**Requirements**:– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.
– Strong experience in systems engineering, with demonstrated proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
– Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and processes.
– Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud architecture principles.
– Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) is highly desirable.
– Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.e.
