**Associate Vulnerability Management Engineer **for Costa Rica location. This exciting new role would be part of a culture that is helping to improve lives every day through digital dentistry. The
**Associate Vulnerability Management Engineer** involves responsibilities related to ensuring the security of an organization’s information systems and data within InfoSec team evolving in activities such as vulnerability management and incident response. Also, the team maintains the information security services and IT tools. This role will be part of Align Technology goal to deliver the next generation of clear aligners (Invisalign®) to our customers. – Organize and track identified vulnerabilities to remediation in context of Vulnerability Management program:
Learn and contribute to identifying, assessing, and addressing vulnerabilities across various technology stacks, including different cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.Participate in the implementation and upkeep of Vulnerability Management tools and processes.Work hands-on with security tools such as Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Application Security Orchestration and Correlation (ASOC), and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) solutions.Contribute to the setup and customization of security stack components, aligning them with organizational needs.Works on problems of limited scope.
– Produce documentation on vulnerabilities and operational statistics:
Provide reporting within the vulnerability management program.End user documentation creation
– Collaborate with teams on global security initiatives and contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment:
Work closely with colleagues to enhance cybersecurity protocols, gaining exposure to diverse cultures and practices.Builds stable working relationships internally.Learns to use professional concepts.Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.Contributing Independently and together with teammates.Participation in R&D and Infrastructure projects.
– Develop Programming Skills:
Enhance your programming skills in Python and JavaScript to support security automation and scripting tasks.Collaborate with development teams to understand and address security issues in code through secure coding practices.**In this role, you’ll need ****Typically**:– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related degree
– Knowledge in cybersecurity
– Familiarity with basic concepts of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and an eagerness to learn about on-premises infrastructure.
– Exposure or willingness to learn programming languages, particularly Python and JavaScript.
– Less than one year of directly related experience or in IT administration area.
– Proficiency in English for this position.
– Base knowledge of network stack and OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model
– General knowledge on information security processes such as: Vulnerability management, telecommunication services security, incident response, information security monitoring and metrics
– To develop at this level for 2-3 years.
– Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
– Basic understanding of operation systems – Linux/Windows
– Understanding of general IT-infrastructure (network, compute, storage)
– Overview of Tech Support
– CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) knowledge
