Descripción de funciones: Job DescriptionAssociate Analyst – Global Product Classification ServicesJob summaryWe are looking for smart, skilled individuals to join our team for a global eCommerce company. This person will assist with the classification of billions of products, in multiple languages, for tax purposes. The main goal of this position is to ensure that thousands of customers pay the correct tax rate for the purchased product. The successful candidate will be responsible for classifying a variety of products for tax purposes.Responsibilities

  • Performing classification, sorting, and standardization of products based on given criteria
  • Utilize extensive product catalog attributes and other data to ensure appropriate categorization of products for correct tax classification
  • Participating in regular and ad-hoc meetings (with communication in English in an internationally composed team) to ensure a correct understanding of logics and rules for classification.
  • Analyzing information in databases, using internal tools and applications, checking daily alerts and notifications
  • Maintain metrics and reporting for measuring process improvement
  • Keeping up to date with classification changes including new logics and interpretations

A day in the life
A standard working day of an Associate Analyst brings a combination of individual work and collaboration and communication with peers and leads. The Associate normally starts the day with checking emails and reading through updates regarding classification or priorities, as well as checking the queue of assignments. The individual work on a product review requires high attention to detail, working with several internal tools and performing basic product research as needed. Ambiguous cases are then discussed with the broader team on regular Syncs, where peers share their ideas and opinions. Calibration discussions often occur on one-on-one basis with team members too. Communication with the Category Lead is also a natural part of the daily job, mainly regarding changes in priorities, assigned workload, deadlines and any other operational topics.Basic qualifications

  • Student or Bachelors degree on Business Admin, Finances, or equivalent.
  • Fluent English language skills (B2/C1) – strong communication abilities (written and oral in English) in an international company environment
  • Ability to follow specific detailed process steps
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • role suitable for fresh graduates and candidates with up to 1 year of working experience

Addiotional information:

  • Our organization has a, 3 days at site located in AFZ Heredia and 2 days WFH.
  • Hiring period: 12 months with 3 months break in service and potential rehiring for other 12 months.
