Stronger together, we promote an environment where individuals can thrive.Reporting to the Regional Accounting Manager for Latin America, this role will support the financial accounting for the Latin America business, ensuring timely and accurate financial and local accounting and reporting, compliance with local statutory and internal control requirements.This position will be a vital part of the Latina America Finance team and will take ownership of key areas of focus within finance. The role will drive process improvements through identifying and implementing areas that will drive efficiencies in processes to improve the quality and timeliness of finance information.**Responsibilities**:
– Prepare different types of account reconciliations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Intercompanies.- Monitor the interface between corporate (Oracle) and local books.- Prepare local to US GAAP reconciliations.- Support, as necessary, annual statutory fillings of legal entities.- Liaison with external auditors and ensure required support is provided to external audit (Statutory and SOX audits).- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis, and carry out ad-hoc project work as required.Background and skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Required.- CPA or local equivalent. Required.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting positions in public companies (SEC filers) in Latin America or in public accounting. Required.- Excellent English Level (B2+). Required.- Understanding of accounting and tax requirements within Latin America. Required.- IFRS/US GAAP technical knowledge.- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with large volume of data.- Knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems.- Prior experience documenting balance sheet reconciliations.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
