In this role, you will lead the optimization of MDM-grade fields, develop forward-thinking strategies, and create state-of-the-art tools to ensure data quality, consistency, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design solutions that address complex business needs while driving the organization’s growth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in influencing data-driven decision-making, improving processes, and shaping the future of data management in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:
- MDM Strategy & Optimization: Lead the assessment of MDM-grade fields, focusing on data quality, consistency, and coverage through comprehensive analysis of data files. Define field taxonomy improvements, establish robust metadata practices, and develop new data quality rules to ensure high standards are met. Identify and evaluate new data sources to enrich our MDM offerings.
- Lead Data Quality Initiatives: You will be at the forefront of ensuring the highest standards of data quality across our MDM solutions. This involves establishing rigorous frameworks for continuous data validation, implementing automated quality checks, and developing protocols to address data discrepancies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build proactive solutions that prevent data issues and maintain data integrity at every stage. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving initiatives that improve data accuracy and reliability, ensuring that high-quality data underpins all business operations.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Leverage advanced analytical techniques to assess large, complex datasets, uncover trends, and deliver actionable insights that shape the future of our MDM offerings. Lead initiatives to identify and address data gaps, continuously improving our MDM strategy.
- Database Management: Ensure data integrity, security, and efficiency across company databases. Collaborate with technical teams to implement and maintain optimized database solutions aligned with business needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable data solutions. Lead discussions on data management, quality standards, and governance, ensuring all teams are aligned on data initiatives and goals.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance existing workflows by leveraging data-driven insights. Identify areas of inefficiency and drive process improvements that result in better accuracy, operational performance, and business outcomes.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present data findings in a way that is understandable and actionable for senior leadership and other key stakeholders. You’ll translate complex datasets into strategic insights, supporting decision-making at the highest levels.
- Project Management: Oversee and lead critical projects related to database optimization, data integration, and the development of business intelligence solutions. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards, coordinating across multiple teams.
- Data Analysis & Optimization: Conduct advanced data analysis to evaluate MDM-grade fields, using data-driven insights to improve existing data structures. Identify and fill data gaps, develop actionable recommendations, and continuously optimize data for maximum efficiency and value to the organization.
- Manage and analyze data and apply engineering principles to improve business processes and decisions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience
- Experience in developing and implementing MDM solutions that drive improvements in data quality, consistency, and usability across the organization.
- Proven experience in a business analyst role with a strong emphasis on engineering principles and data analysis.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL), data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R), and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Experience in managing projects and working collaboratively across different teams and departments.
- Experience working with large, high-volume datasets in complex data environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Snowflake) and modern data architectures.
- Certifications in data management, project management, or business analytics (e.g., CDMP, PMP, CBAP) are a plus.
