Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a AP Payments Operations Assistant Manager in HerediaThis role is operationally responsible for managing the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service delivery to the internal and external stakeholders, as well as maintaining good governance and a robust control environment (with an appropriate balance between risk and controls) for the Procure to Procure (P2P) service line focus on Banking Operations.Ensure Controls SOX and Non-SOX are executed. Ensure there is not any backlog or Operations disruption that can impact KPIs or business deliverables. EM contact to action plans to improve KPIS. Focus on People by running One On Ones and Skip Levels during the year. Handle special EM requirements or escalations. Participate in Global Projects to ensure productivity and processYour key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the Team to deliver the efficient and effective processing within a controlled environment and in line with the SLA established for each activity, alongside adherence to the applicable relevant tax regime and within any voluntary codes of best practice BAT has signed up for.
- Ensure that all approved external supplier invoices are paid in time within agreed payment terms, subject to the appropriate controls.
- Implement Finance transformation initiatives and programmes aimed to have an impact on the services provided in adherence with global standards.
- Monitor resource utilisation and manage resource allocation to maximise effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of the services.
- Build and value a diverse team in GBS Americas.
- Pro-actively manage customer relationships on an ongoing basis through periodic SLA service reviews, regular monitoring of service levels and customer feedback.
- Develop effective networks and interfaces with peers across the globe and particularly, with Finance Leaders across GBS Americas´ customer base to ensure that objectives are achieved.
- Contribute to create a culture and working environment conducive to innovation and continuous improvement within GBS Americas.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related.
- 2+ years of experience in financial accounting or operational finance processes.
- Bank Operations and Payments Process experience is a plus.
- SAP proficiency.
- Advanced English.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service and teamwork oriented. Right attitude to carry out different tasks: positive thinking, willing to learn and perform tasks in the best possible manner.
- Portuguese is desirable.
