We are transforming the mortgage industry through automation, AI integration, and next-generation operational systems.Our new Costa Rica operation will serve as the technology and automation hub, supporting our U.S. network by developing, maintaining, and integrating cutting-edge systems — including direct collaboration with AI agents such as Retell AI to automate communication, processing, and operational workflows.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled IT & Systems Integration Specialist (Contractor) to join our Costa Rica-based technology team.This role will focus on building and maintaining system integrations, developing automation workflows, and connecting internal company platforms with AI agents like Retell AI used for marketing, compliance, onboarding, and processing.The ideal candidate is fully bilingual (English/Spanish), proficient in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experienced in API-based automation.
You’ll play a critical role in linking human operations with AI technology to create a scalable, intelligent infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration & IntegrationManage user access, permissions, and data flow across internal platforms.Develop and maintain integrations between internal tools and AI platforms (including Retell AI).
Build and monitor automation workflows ensuring accuracy and reliability.Design internal dashboards and performance tracking systems.Development & AutomationWrite clean, efficient, and scalable code using Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Develop API-based workflows and backend logic connecting to AI-driven systems.Build internal web tools and interfaces that interact with Retell AI.Test, troubleshoot, and document automation systems for continuous improvement.AI & Technology IntegrationCollaborate with leadership to enhance AI agent integrations for various departments.Implement and maintain Retell AI voice and communication integrations for real-time engagement.Create custom logic flows and APIs to connect AI agents with internal databases and CRMs.Support future AI automation projects and ensure full interoperability between systems.Security & ComplianceImplement data security policies and maintain proper access controls.Conduct periodic audits and documentation reviews for all integrations.Ensure compliance with privacy and IT security standards.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in IT administration, software development, or systems automation.Strong coding ability in Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Proven experience with API integrations, webhooks, and JSON.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) – written and spoken fluency required.PreferredExperience integrating AI tools (Retell AI, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, etc.).
Familiarity with automation platforms (Zapier, Zoho, Make).
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Strong documentation and communication skills.Contract TermsIndependent contractor position based in Costa Rica.Costa Rican employment benefits (Caja, Aguinaldo, vacation pay, etc.) are not included.Compensation: $15,000 USD per year, paid monthly in U.S. dollars.Contractors are responsible for their own local taxes and insurance coverage.Compensation & GrowthAnnual Compensation: $15,000 USD (contractor-based).
